Female Athlete of the Issue: Harris Stone

Written by: Molly Hildebrant

Harris Stone, a dedicated student-athlete, has been attending Savannah Country Day School for the past ten years. As the captain of both the varsity volleyball and soccer teams, she exemplifies commitment and passion in both sports. This is her fifth year playing high school soccer for SCDS and she is looking forward to one more season of playing her favorite sport with Hooker’s Army to finish out her career. "My favorite thing about Country Day soccer is my team because I love being able to play every game with my best friends,” she says. We are more than excited to watch her dominate her senior season on the field as the attacking center midfielder while also leading her team to success off of it.

When it comes to volleyball, she says, "My favorite part about volleyball is being able to succeed with my team and the satisfaction of getting a good dig or up." On the volleyball team, Harris has played the libero position since her sophomore year and specializes in defense. In all, Stone is an asset to all teams she participates for, using both her positive attitude and leadership skills to always push the players around her to their full potential and that makes her this issue’s Athlete of the Issue.
