From Shakespeare to Dolly Parton: 9 to 5: The Musical!
Written by Caroline Bergmann
In case you missed it, the cast of Shakespeare in Love had two successful performances on November 5th and 6th. On November 7th, the cast and crew traveled to Vidalia High School for the GHSA Region One-Act competition, competing against four other schools. They were awarded as Runner-Up with impressive scores of 98 and 99. In addition, Mr. Venhaus was recognized as Best Director, with our own Daniel Bosch winning Best Actor overall.
Although the one-act has come to an end, things will be starting up again soon. Auditions for 9 to 5: The Musical are just around the corner, so be ready! It’s a musical comedy adapted from the 1980s movie 9 to 5. It follows the story of three coworkers, Doralee, Judy, and Violet, who team up and try to sabotage their arrogant boss. It’s energetic and fun, with a soundtrack written by country star Dolly Parton.
