Winter Campus Life
Written by: Ian Rogers
It has gotten colder on campus and as a result, we are seeing the victims of dress code outerwear violations more and more often. As the detention periods fill up after school, so do the students yearning for our winter break to come finally. For Christmas this year, it has been rumored many students are asking Santa for black outerwear in our handbook. Before Thanksgiving break, our seniors enjoyed a special lunch to celebrate Thanksgiving together. It was nice to have one last lunch with all the seniors on campus before we get our privileges when we come back in January; then there is no telling where our class might be for their lunch period. A surprise that none of our students is missing is the caution tape around the quad when our campus gets too windy. It seems like it would be peak season for that but we are not complaining. Despite the cold weather, freshman boys are still out on the turf rain or shine either playing spike ball or congregating to wait their turn. If you were thinking about buying UGGs this holiday season, you could browse almost every student's shoe selection in the halls between periods to find your favorite pair. Finally, exams are around the corner so take a break from the spike ball and put down the New York Times connections, and study a little. Go Hornets!
