Leprechaun Spotlight

Written by: Feriby McCorkle

Adam: Adam is a prominent member of our SCDS ginger community. Everyone knows Adam. He doesn’t only have red hair, but a red mustache to accompany it. Renowned violin player Adam is our musical leprechaun on campus. He loves to play little Irish jigs on his violin.

Gabe Bosch: The youngest ginger on campus, freshman Gabe is the littlest leprechaun we have at Country Day. He’s a varsity basketball player, and he uses his quick leprechaun speed to his advantage on the court.

Hannah: Hannah is our only female leprechaun on campus. She is very in touch with her leprechaun roots as this summer she visited the leprechaun homeland, Ireland. Hannah is distinguished by her red curly hair. She proudly represents the leprechaun community by being a well known lover of rainbows.

Chase: When not looking for gold… Chase, senior, is wearing green. Orange, like his hair, is his favorite color. The bright vivid gingers of his hair alongside his pale freckly skin make him easily recognizable as a leprechaun.

Andrew: The biggest leprechaun I ever saw was Andrew Nicholson. When he isn’t making shoes, he shoots, plays basketball, football, and track.  He enjoys being an SCDS student because his athletic uniforms are green, a leprechaun's iconic color. He is the key protector of gold because nobody is getting past him.

Mr. Nero: This Spanish speaking leprechaun is extra special because he is our only teacher leprechaun in the Upper School. He coaches girls basketball. You can find him at the end of a rainbow.
